Look! What we did Wednesday- May 30

We have been seeing a lot of birds in the backyard now that the weather is finally getting nice.  Kiddo #1 loves taking photos of them.  So, I thought that we would use one of the photos and do some notebooking about the bird, which turned out to be an American Robin.

I found this bird notebooking study free on CurrClick (you just have to love free)

and the kiddos colored in and wrote about different facts we found out about American Robins, including that they lay small blue eggs and that they eat insects, worms and berries.  I also didn't know that these beautiful songbirds are also primary carriers of the West Nile Virus.

We are looking forward to adding more bird photos and facts to our collection.  :-)

I am linking up to Look! What we Did and Favorite Resources.

Thank you for this!! Keilee is all about birds now. She is doing Flying Creatures this summer and she will love this!

We love fat Robins around here! :)

Love Robins - we have some truly big ones here! Unfortunately, the hummingbirds are scarce. I don't know if their migration was affected at all by our extremely early and hot weather. I am beginning to introduce notebooking pages. We did a handful about chocolate. I'm seriously considering a binding machine for next school year so the kids can create booklets. Thanks for sharing!

This is so cool. Kids don't usually get to do projects like this in public school. You are doing a grea job with homeschooling. Thanks for sharing.
