What a busy and fun week at the Home to 4 Kiddos. So busy that it will probably be Monday before this post gets done and posted. :-)
The kiddos participated in part 2 of the herb program. Remember 2 weeks ago-- that the kiddos helped cook an entire meal with herbs? This time, they planted herbs, seeds and made rosemary clippings. I am so ready for spring!
On Thursday, Kiddo #3 got his braces. 3 down, 1 to go! :-)
Friday was the last day of homeschool bowling and it was a sad day because the bowling alley is closing. It has been super busy there, but the owners are getting older and their children and/or grandchildren do not want the business. That is equally as sad-- when family businesses do not continue because of younger generations not wanting to take them on. Family-run businesses are sadly becoming a thing of the past in this country and they helped to make it great. Ok, sorry, I digress. After bowling, Kiddo #1 and I attended a meeting for his homeschool graduation. It will be lovely affair. The graduates and their families are all planning it together. It will be a very special and personalized event.
Saturday was 4-H and Kiddo #4 got to try her hand at quill writing. There is going to be a history fair next month and the kids were all "practicing" their crafts before they man their tables in May.
Also on Saturday, Kiddo #4 attended a computer workshop for pre-teen girls. They worked with the scratch program from MIT and designed the beginnings on their own animated fashion show. They will attend the continuation of the program soon.
On Sunday, we attended the 4th birthday party of a dear friend's grandson. It was a fun day. It is such a sweet age!
Phew, and it is Monday again. The time goes by quickly. :-)
