Did you see Jupiter? It was visible to the naked eye this week. It was bright and beautiful. Here are two photos-- the clearer one was taken by Kiddo #1, who has a much steadier hand than his mom. That was taken at 140x magnification. You can even see two of Jupiter's moons! The blurrier one is my shot, but you could see some of the markings on the planet. Isn't that cool?
We also have been keeping a close eye on the Eagle cams. The one in Washington, D.C, with parents "The President" and "The First Lady" showed the two babies hatch a couple of days ago. Amazing to see those parents taking turns on the nest in wind and snow and never flinch. I wonder if the eaglets will be called "Stars and Stripes." :-) There is also the Eagle cam from Pennsylvania that we have been watching, as well. Very exciting to watch it all live 24 hours a day.
The kiddos participated in an Easter egg making class. They made buttercream, coconut and peanut butter eggs. It was a really fun (and yummy!) afternoon. Each participant took home 18 eggs!
Our week will conclude with us remembering and celebrating the important events that took place during Holy Week. I will post the "My Week in Review" linkup on Saturday morning so you can share all about your week, as well. Have a very blessed Easter!
