I usually show photos from our weekend on Monday, but since it was the holiday weekend, I am a little behind. :-) This weekend saw Kiddo #1 go for his first "O Flight" with the Civil Air Patrol. He was given the priceless opportunity to be behind the wheel and actually fly the aircraft for about 50 minutes. Wow! :-) They were all impressed with his ability at only 14 years old. I guess all of the RC flying and simulator practice have paid off!
We also started decorating the Christmas tree. The kiddos so look forward to this every year. It isn't quite done, but it can be a work in progress, right? :-) :-)

wow!!! congratulations!!
I so love that your son is in Civil Air Patrol. My oldest daughter was in Civil Air Patrol when she was in high school...she had always wanted to be a pilot. (Now she is in the Navy but not flying planes). CAP is an excellent program for kids. You are good parents to make sure your kids are involved in such an organization during the sometimes challenging teen years! Enjoy the rest of the week and God bless!
Wow - how totally cool for your son! I wanted to be a pilot, but my eyesight wasn't good enough years ago. Love the tree :)
Wow! It is great that your son is able to fly an aircraft at 14 years old! Your Christmas tree is beautiful. All lovely pictures.
