The Joy in giving....

Every year, we take the kiddos to "Five and Below" and allow them to buy something for each other and for us.  It is truly amazing how much care each of them takes in trying to pick out something that the recipient will truly like.

They took some time tonight and wrapped each gift.  If the recipient was in the room, he/she was kindly asked to step out for a minute.  (including the adults, lol!)  :-)

I really love how much joy they each get in picking out and wrapping gifts for their siblings and parents.  I hope it reinforces that it is truly better to give than to receive. That is what the season is all about: the giving of the most incredible Gift of all: our Lord and Savior.

I hope everyone has a wonderful few days before Christmas!  God bless!  :-)

That is nice, my Mother in law offers each year to take my oldest out. We have even gone to the local angel tree to choose an angel the same age as our son. He really enjoyed shopping for them too.

How fun! This year I took each of the girls separately to shop for each other - and you are right, it's wonderful that they are so excited to give gifts to others :)

Always such bright, smiling faces! Today, my daughters disappeared to the basement. Each wrapped something for the other - but they chose items already in the house - I'm interested to know who is getting who's hand-me-down! Blessings to you and yours.

What a nice tradition! My girls each bought each other something at Target and they were so excited to give the other their gift--giving is so much better than receiving!
